03 - A Mothers Love Never Dies I always turned to my mother When things would get me down, She was always there to guide me And keep my feet firmly on the ground. She is an everlasting inspiration, Someone who took me all the way, And without her love and guidance I would not be who I am today. Her strength was always amazing, Her wisdom I always sought, And I know I'm teaching my children All the things she ever taught. Mom, if heaven has a door And you watch me from up above, I hope you're proud of the child You taught to laugh and love. Sometimes the days have passed so slowly, The nights can be too long, At these times I feel you're so close to me And this feeling can be so strong. I know you are never far away from me, I can still feel your love when I cry, I can hear God's whisper on the wind--- "A mothers love never dies." © 2002

| 04 - A New Star Shines So Bright Certain people come into our lives For whatever reason we might not know, But certain people touch our hearts And plant seeds that will always grow. You always weaved threads of hope... Your spirit soared oh so bright... Your zest for life inspired others, Your smile was pure delight. You were trapped in a body filled with pain... But determined to walk every mile. Did we sometimes forget that you could hurt? Did you sometimes weep beneath that smile? You always carried on, you never complained... You always held your head up high- There was never an obstacle too great, There was nothing you did not try. If I could have had one more day with you--- Before you had to leave, I would have told you how much I cared, And I'll always carry the threads you weaved. Rest in peace, I promise, you'll never be forgotten... You will always remain within my sight- I'll see you each night as I close my eyes... There's a new star and you shine so bright. © 2002

17 - One Day Closer To You I sometimes ask the Lord Why he took you before me, And though he's never answered- I guess it was meant to be. I tell myself you're watching, That you're never really far away, I sometimes feel the slightest touch When I bow my head to pray. I know heaven must have a window With no curtain to hide the view, I know you probably stand there often And watch me missing you. I know you're helping me to go on, You're guiding me through the pain, I somehow sense you're telling me, There's more sunshine now then rain. Each new day now dawns with meaning, Something inside of me rings so true, Today will slip into yesterday And I'll be one day closer to you. © 2001

05 - Christmas Wishes To You It's time to put up that Christmas tree... And decorate the house so bright, It's time to hang up all the stockings And get ready for Christmas Eve night. It's time to reflect upon the past And be kinder to all mankind, May Jesus smile down upon all of us For keeping his birthday in mind. As Santa flies over your roof tonight Do not fear, he's not in danger, Our Lord will not let him come to harm For he took time to kneel by a manger. And I'm sure as he gazed upon Baby Jesus, He took time to pray for all boys and girls, To remember this season is not about him, But our Savior, who gave His life to save this world. So may this holiday season be your best... May all your dreams come true... And from our happy home to yours... Merry Christmas! Happy New Years Too! © 2001

20 - Is This The Way? Take this moment to look around And focus on what you see, Then ask yourself the question- Is this the way it really has to be? We've forgotten what moral and values are, We expect someone else to fix the mess, And when it comes to raising our children We expect others to pass the test. Marriage is no longer a sacred vow, For many it's a haven of deceit and sin, They find it easy to wander and stray, And have no regrets of where they've been. We allow our children too much freedom, We have no control over their lives, And then we wonder why they're rude And why some turn to guns and knives. It's become so easy to say it's their fault, Everything from being well to being sick, We forget we made choices and are also to blame In our schemes to get rich quick. We allowed a few to run their mouths Until God was banned from school, And now we wonder where He is And what happened to the golden rule? Our children are watching us as they grow And the hand of God is hard to find, We have no one but ourselves to blame For the impressions left on young minds. If we now cry out to the Lord, And we ask why He's not here? The answer is closer then we think... Many of us are never there. © 2002

| 23 - Over The Hill My friend...you've reached the peak of that "hill" So you'd best be careful and remain perfectly still. For at your age there's only one way down... And once you start falling there's no turning around. Take a rest on that chair and just wait to see... The birthday present personally made by me, But no! I'm sorry the cake had to be trashed... The weight from the candles caused a massive collapse! Oh well...maybe it's best the world doesn't see... (ANY AGE) glowing candles sitting on your bum knees! Don't laugh! Be careful! Oh no...look what you've done! And all because I was poking some fun... Roll down slowly and enjoy the thrill... Welcome to the other side...you're now over the hill! © 2002

Lord, I Know You Are Here Lord, I can see Thomas and he's standing so still, How could he have doubted that which felt so real? You said, 'Put your hand in my side, look at my hands,' And only then could Thomas really understand. But, Lord, I will hold onto what you had to say- 'Blessed are those who haven't seen and believe anyway.' You're in the air that I breathe, the things I can't see, Yes, Lord, I know you are there You're in the wind that I feel, you bring a faith that's so real, Yes, Lord, I know you are here. And I don't have to doubt what I'm talking about Because he shows me in every way- He's in the air that I breathe, the things I can't see And, Lord, I will walk with you every day. And when I look at the cross, I will remember the cost And I will gladly kneel down and pray, He's in the wind that I feel, He brings a faith that's so real, Lord, I know you pour love on me every day. © 2005
